Terms of Service
The agreement between you and Stadinet for use of this learning platform.
Last updated
This is a provisional template that has not yet been reviewed by Stadinet's legal counsel. It describes intended practice and is published for transparency, but it is not a final legal document.
1. Acceptance of these terms
By creating an account, enrolling in a programme, or otherwise using this platform, you agree to these terms. If you are using the platform on behalf of an institution, you confirm you are authorised to accept these terms for that institution.
If you do not agree, do not create an account or use the platform.
2. Accounts and eligibility
You must provide accurate registration details and keep them current. Admission and enrolment decisions are made by the institution, not by the platform, and are subject to that institution's own academic regulations.
You are responsible for activity under your account. Keep your password confidential and tell us promptly if you believe your account has been accessed without your permission.
3. Acceptable use
When using the platform you agree not to:
- Share your account credentials, or sit an assessment on another person's behalf.
- Attempt to bypass proctoring, access controls, or payment gates.
- Upload malware, or content you do not have the right to share.
- Copy or redistribute course materials outside the permissions granted by your institution.
- Interfere with the platform's operation, or with other users' access to it.
4. Academic integrity
Assessments may be proctored and submissions may be checked for plagiarism. Suspected breaches are referred to your institution and handled under its academic regulations. The platform records evidence; the academic decision is the institution's.
5. Fees and payment
Fees are set by your institution and charged per programme module. Access to teaching content may depend on your fee status, in line with your institution's policy.
Refunds, deferrals and payment plans are governed by your institution's fee policy, not by the platform.
6. Content and intellectual property
Course materials remain the property of the institution or the instructor who created them. You are granted a personal, non-transferable right to use them for your own study while enrolled.
You keep ownership of work you submit, and grant the institution the right to store, assess, and retain it for academic and regulatory purposes.
7. Availability
We aim to keep the platform available continuously, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. Maintenance, upgrades and events beyond our reasonable control may interrupt service.
8. Suspension and termination
Your institution may suspend or close your account in line with its own regulations, for example on withdrawal from a programme or on a finding of misconduct. We may suspend access where required to protect the platform or its users.
9. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. Where a change materially affects your rights, we will give notice through the platform before it takes effect. Continuing to use the platform after that point means you accept the updated terms.
